This cigar starts off with a core of Nicaraguan long-fillers from Condega, Jalapa, and Estelí— the three top growing regions in the country. What sets this stick apart from all the rest, is an oily, black, maduro wrapper that is naturally aged at least 6 years, and then laid to rest in oak bourbon barrels for an additional 14 months. This time-consuming blending process yields a long-lasting medium- to- full-bodied smoke brimming with savory notes of bittersweet chocolate, cashews , leather, and dark roast coffee, all punctuated with the delicate smoky vanilla -like essence imparted from the remnants of the bourbon barrels.
